Greetings all,
I am Mirza, former captain of the Grant Park High School Reach for the Top team from Winnipeg, Manitoba. We were intermediate provincial champs in 2002 and we got fifth place in Nationals this May. I suppose that is it. Usually I am of greater eloquence but it is 3 in the morning.

Heh. Great. Welcome!

Mind giving us a quick summary of what happened at Nationals this year?

Seeing as we don't have anyone here who went to them.

Well, it has been a while and CLT has not started showing it yet. However, I recall we were involved in some quite close games, allowing us some wild card spots. The captain of the St. Paul's team did not throw a chair through the window this year, merely walked out in a huff. When I see the games, my memory will no doubt be jogged.

Do you recall the results (ie. which team beat which team) of the playoffs?

Is this what happened? Can you confirm or deny this?

(1) Leaside over (10) Calmar
(2) St. Paul's over (9) Hilltop
(8) Cobequid over (3) Father Leo J. Austin
(4) Marionopolis over (7) McRoberts
(5) St. George's over (6) Grant Park*

* - Denotes Wildcard

Round 2 -
(1) Leaside over (6) Grant Park
(5) St. George's over (2) St. Paul's
(4) Marionopolis over (8) Cobequid *

* - Denotes Wildcard ... yeah, i don't know why 4 faced 8 and 2 faced 5.

Round 3 -
(8) Cobequid over (1) Leaside
(5) St. George's over (4) Marionopolis

Finals -
(8) Cobequid over (5) St. George's

see, if it makes sense in manitoba, it makes sense in ontario.

intermediate championships! lobby lobby lobby.

OR we could arrange our own regionals because the dumbasses over at palmerston drive are probably too lazy to do it or might give us the red tape.

Question if you ever see this again:

I notice sometimes on Nationals that a team will get a team question and sometimes only get 1 or 2 followups.

Is this because they cut out the questionst hey don't get for time reasons?

I also notice that there are a lot of two question categories... also, is this because they cut out incorrect answers for time purposes?
